MASTER COPY - Vermeer's Girl with a pearl earring

Vermeer's Girl with a pearl earring

(NOTE: I haven't posts for a long time, after my kidney transplant and thyroid surgery I need to really rest and my body is adjusting)

I'm a self taught artist and this is my first ever master copy and yes it's so hard, challenging but worth every minute.

Still “grinding” to finish this master copy, and trying to work on the shadow side of the cheek which until now Im not yet able to get the correct value transitions plus the reflections in the skin. Needed to adjust the skin temperatures also. More work and refining too. On the other hand Im happy and pleased with the results and the experience plus all the things Im learning trough the process.

The second image is converted to black and white and I normally make a black and white pix of my paintings to check the value tones.
